After a stormy.... (ahem)..... with "TOM"...

I was given a time-off yesterday to "check-in" at some places for "rehab".....I need to "heal" the heart, mind and body.....LOL...

Had this....... Baskin Rrobbins ...Banana Split Ice-Cream...of course not by myself.....

.....and what a surprise...we saw them....(seriously....I was not excited just curious) ...if only they were ......



端午节吃粽子!!

Home made 粽子

In the past, my mum will make 3 types of dumpling (more than 100 of dumplings):

1) Kee Chang (Plain Dumpling). Green in colour and usually are eaten with some sugar.

2) Ba Chang (肉粽)

3) Nonya Chang (娘惹粽) Different flavour due to different fillings used.

Now, she only do two types (No. 1 and 3) and probably about 40-50 for each type. Usually the meat dumplings made by my mum are huge. While it is tasty and yummy, it does not sit well for my digestive system.  Thus, I have requested my mum to reduce the size of her dumplings over the years. Now, the size is nice (slightly more than 50% reduction from her original size). In the photo above, the smaller dumpling (because it was the last one made with the remaining ingredients) is so small (like sushi). You can simply put the whole thing in your mouth at one go!



Buying a sandwich ....

Me: Aunty, I want a Chicken Sandwich today.
Pantry Aunt: Why? Today you are feeling hungry?
Me: Yes, not sure why I am feeling hungry....
Panty Aunt: Why you have worms in your stomach?
Me: Yeah....I think so...feeling hungry this morning...
Pantry Aunt: Are you pregnant?
Me: Err...No....
Pantry Aunt: You not pregnant?
Me: No....Not pregnant...probably just worms in my stomach.....
Pantry Aunt: How many kids you have?
Me: Err....no kids......
Pantry Aunt: No kids? ....Are you married?
Me: No....not married yet....
Pantry Aunt: Oh ...sorry har.... nowadays....cannot differentiate....(Not sure what she meant by that >.<"")

Now.....my mind is running "wild"...either I looked FAT....or....I looked....师奶 ....or....

Start of the day ~~~

My usual Sunday morning routine ~~
0600hrs ~~ Lazing on the bed (I want to zzzz...)
0645hrs ~~ Washed up and checking emails
0715hrs ~~ Proceed to the market to meet my mummy dearest (My job is to assist in carrying some of the groceries)
0745hrs ~~ Mummy stopped at the Eggs stall to get some eggs before heading home

Scene One
Background ~~ Wearing a black t-shirt, shorts, slippers and holding two big bags of groceries, I stood behind my mum as she chatted with the lady boss of the eggs stall ~~

I sensed someone was looking at me~~ (-.^)

A question was raised by the lady boss ~~

"OH! Is that your maid?!"

My mum responsed ~~ "No, No....she is my sister..."

Lady boss ~ ~ "Oh, you have such a young sister!"

My mum ~ ~ "No lah, kidding, my daughter..hahaha!"

Bare Trotters

Something happened to Oinky today. Well, something "special" always happen to Oinky.

To cut the story short: My sandals went missing after it was placed outside a temple. After searching for about 10 mins, I decided to walk without any shoes on the road. Surprisingly, I wasn't upset or angry. I just find it hilarious. Why ME?! Ha ha ha. Walking on the uneven road, was a good massage for my trotters though!

I know it is ridiculous but this thought came to my mind: "I lost my sandals but I had a free massage!"

A gift from Korea.



Dinner: 食完韩国飯, went to a cafe and order a plate of Prawn Toast With Chedder and Hot Chocolate.....hmmm....."Prawn" reminds me how smelly 餃 吓 us...and hot chocolate...of cos, the sweet 古力! 哈哈哈哈哈哈....
